Isoprene Derivatives (2023 Program)

Isoprene derivatives include polyisoprene, styrene block copolymers (SIS and SEPS), and butyl rubber (IIR). The halogenated butyl rubbers – notably bromobutyl rubber - is more commonly used in tires as the material vulcanizes faster than IIR itself.
