Isoprene Derivatives (2016 Program)

This report provides a comprehensive analysis of the technology, economics and markets for the production of isoprene derivatives, which include polyisoprene (IR), styrene block copolymer (SBC) and butyl rubber (IIR). Commercial process technologies based on various polymerization routes (coordination and anionic polymerization for IR, anionic polymerization for SBC and cationic polymerization for IIR) are discussed.
