Propylene Oxide (2008 Program)

The chemistry, process technologies and production economics for propylene oxide manufacture are assessed and compared. Chlorohydrin, PO/MTBE, and PO/SM routes are compared to the new Sumitomo and hydrogen peroxide-based approaches.
