Developments in Propylene Oxide Technology (2001 Program)

Chemistry, process technology, and cost of production economics for the new Sumitomo co-product free route to propylene oxide are compared to conventional styrene monomer co-product PO process. Hydrogen peroxide and direct oxidation routes are assessed.
