Chlorine & sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) production technologies and process economics are discussed and evaluated. Specifically, utilizing mercury cell, diaphragm cell, membrane cell, and membrane cell integrated with oxygen diffusion electrode, and membrane cell integrated with fuel cell. Regional supply/demand/trade is given.
